The 2019 World Robotics Conference was held from August 20th to 25th at the Beijing Yichuang International Convention and Exhibition Center. This conference consists of a main forum and a special forum, and the World Robot Expo and World Robot Competition will be held simultaneously.

The World Robotics Congress Forum is known as the "Davos" of the robotics industry and has received strong support from 22 international robotics organizations, including the IEEE Society for Robotics and Automation (IEEE RAS), the World Federation of Engineering Organizations (WFEO), and the International Foundation for Robotics Research (IFRR). The 3-day main forum brought together over 300 top industry experts and business leaders from China, Russia, the United States, Germany, Japan, Italy, Canada, South Korea, Switzerland, Israel, and other countries. They will conduct keynote speeches and peak dialogues around the six major stages of "international cooperation and opportunities", "basic technology and innovation", "cutting-edge trends and exploration", "artificial intelligence and integration", "emerging applications and practices", and "market prospects and investment". More than 20 thematic forums have focused on different fields, providing a platform for global robotics elites to exchange ideas and collide.

The World Robotics Expo is known as the "Hannover Exhibition" in the robotics industry. This year, the exhibition area is 52000 square meters, consisting of four exhibition areas: industrial robots, service robots, special robots, and logistics robots. More than 180 well-known domestic and foreign enterprises and research institutions, including ABB, Xinsong, and Harbin Institute of Technology Robotics Group, have gathered and presented over 700 sets of the latest technological achievements, application products, and solutions related to 21 industries, Among them are Data Technology's cloud intelligent service robot XR-1, the fourth generation 7-degree of freedom lightweight robot from the German Aerospace Center, Kangli Youlan Youyou U06 robot, Ubisoft Walker robot, Da Vinci surgical robot, etc.

The World Robotics Competition is known as the "Olympic Games" in the robotics industry. This year, there are four major categories of competitions: the BCI Brain Controlled Robot Competition, the Fusion Robot Challenge, the Robot Industry Design Competition, and the Youth Robot Design Competition. The 2019 World Robot Competition has held multiple selection competitions worldwide, with a total of over 40000 participants participating throughout the year. More than 1000 teams from more than 10 countries and regions around the world, including China, Russia, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Singapore, Mexico, and the Philippines, participated in the championship of this competition.

Since the World Robotics Conference was held five years ago, it has complied with the inherent requirements of technological innovation and development, gathered global wisdom to promote technological and industrial progress, and has become a multi-subject, comprehensive, broad, and deep cooperation platform. In the future, the conference will continue to serve in the creation of a global robot ecosystem, the promotion of high-quality development in the manufacturing industry, the construction of a modern economic system, and the creation of a community with a shared future for mankind making positive contributions to a better future for the world economy and humanity.
